Company History
Founded by Carey Hobbs, Hobbs Bonded Fibers is a Texas-based company that traces its roots back to 1970, when the company manufactured cushioning material for the bedding and furniture industries.
Hobbs has created high quality quilt batting for both home and commercial quilters since 1978. Our Heirloom Collection of batting has become one of the top selling brands in the United States. As an ISO 9001 Certified Manufacturer, Hobbs meets the most stringent guidelines regarding manufacturing and business fulfillment.

Hobbs Bonded Fibers has created two joint projects with major universities:
- Fibertect, a non-particulate decontamination wipe that has proven effective in absorbing toxic industrial chemicals and materials, in conjunction with Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas
- Coconut fiber manufacturing process in conjunction with Baylor University in Waco, Texas (Will help create markets for coconuts grown in many impoverished countries, thus affording them future agricultural revenue)
