Hobbs Batting: Hobbs Bonded Fibers History & Mission

At Hobbs Bonded Fibers – makers of Hobbs Quilt Batting since 1978 – we never forget that a quilt or quilted project is more than fabric, thread and batting – it’s an expression of love, artistry and handwork, invested hour upon hour, often with a specific recipient, use or competition in mind.

And because we know how important the quality and consistency in the products included in these works of love and art are, we’ve dedicated ourselves to manufacturing only the best Hobbs quilt batting products, for you.

Hobbs Bonded Fibers is a Texas-based company that traces its roots back to 1970, when the company manufactured cushioning material for the bedding and furniture industries.

Because Hobbs Bonded Fibers offers diverse products within the fiber industry, we research and develop fiber technologies for the automotive, aerospace, healthcare and military industries that lead to innovation in the quilt batting industry, and in our Hobbs quilt batting products. Our broad production platform brings fibers to market well ahead of their time, leading to a better quality quilt batting product and a more enjoyable quilting experience for you.

We manufacture a complete line of quilt batting, pillow form and fiberfill products and we’re an industry leader for one reason: we listen to you and take to heart your suggestions.

We highly value the opinions of quilters, long-armers, and quilt shop, fabric shop and craft store owners, and we take very seriously the input that you share with us at major quilting events around the country, as well as the thoughts you share through your local quilt guild, and online and through emails sent, and calls made, to us.

Thank you for helping us to develop a wide selection of premium products
to meet your quilting needs – we’re honored to provide you with high-quality quilt batting, pillow form and fiberfill products for your next project!

How Is Hobbs Batting Helping You?

Hobbs is "the best batting and a wonderful company! You may quote me all you want, I tell everyone about Hobbs..."My sister quilts like it is a job, (in) my life it's a hobby. We both do large and small quilts. She does a lot of service projects. We both do our own quilting...Thank you again for making a wonderful product! Oh yeah, we love all of them!"
