Yes, you heard right, we’re back with another Quilting Holiday Giveaway event, and this year’s event has TWICE AS MANY presents!

YOU have numerous chances to win fabulous presents from the collection above! 

Some of the presents (shown above and below) were delivered by Santa Hobbs and some I picked up during my travels this year (yes, that means there may be goodies found overseas at events like the UK’s Festival of Quilts!).

    What I’d most like to create in 2018 is all of the quilts on my long bucket list. The list includes: my current WIP of hand pieced hexies that is all Me and My Sister Designs fabrics, Gravity by Jaybird Quilts, Wayward Transparency, my own pattern test for a sampler quilt for triangles, and quilts to donate to different charities (like #QuiltsforHarvey, #Quiltsforvegas, and any other natural disasters that may occur in 2018. A Christmas quilt for next year would be awesome too!

I’m pretty proficient in quilting and I need very little motivation to quilt (I’ve always got multiple projects going, lol!) but garment sewing scares me! I want to make myself a dress out of Cotton and Steel rayon. We’ll see. And, just to be fair, in 2018 I want to try free motion quilting my first lap quilt. I usually send them out, and I want to try it myself for a change!

I enjoy pulling fabrics, cutting them and throwing them together in a somewhat random color/design to create a colorful quilt. Custom memory quilt orders are what pays the bills but my true joy comes from making farmhouse quilts. A nice balance of both would be good.

    2018 is going to be a very different year for me. My Mum had a major heart attack 6weeks ago which has left her very disabled. Mum and I have been working together for the last 8 years running two Gammill machines side by side. I plan to surpport her in finishing her quilts. We had so many plans but she now sits at the end of the quilting machine and tells me which pattern she thinks would work best. 2018 will full of batting scraps and laugher.

    What I would most like to create in 2018 is a seasonal throw quilt for each of my kids, parents and siblings.

    I would like to honor Nancy Zieman’s memory in completing a “quilt to give” as well as a quilt of valor. I am new to quilting and have just completed a panel type quilt for my elderly mother. Nancy Zieman was such a great teacher, that I’ve got her “Quilt to give” pattern saved for 2018. It would be my first bed sized pieced quilt. Eileen had the top stashed away thinking it wasn’t good enough to have quilted, but she agreed that I can quilt it now that I have a long arm machine – so I guess I need to create the skills to do this top justice (its beautiful!)
